Order Book
Definition
The order book (also called the depth of market or DOM) is a real-time list of all pending buy and sell orders for a futures contract at various price levels. It displays the quantity of contracts waiting at each price, giving traders insight into supply and demand dynamics. Futures traders use order book analysis to identify support and resistance levels, detect large institutional orders, and time entries more precisely.
