Definition

The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) is one of the world's oldest futures and options exchanges, now a division of the CME Group. Originally founded in 1848 for agricultural commodities, CBOT today lists futures on Treasury bonds, notes, grains (corn, soybeans, wheat), and the Dow Jones Industrial Average (Mini Dow / YM). It remains a cornerstone of the global derivatives market.
